May 17 - 21

 Calendar

  • May 17th - All Virtual Learner Book in a Bags are due back at TCE.  You will also pick up an envelope with important information in it.  Please bring books back in the original cloth bag.  Math manipulatives are also due back  (place in cloth bag).
  • May 24th - Field Day - More news to come - options for both face-to-face and virtual learners. We will have a "Field Day Pick-Up" the week prior for remote learners to pick up materials.
  • May 26th - Last Day of School/Early Release
  • May 26th - Report Cards will be sent home via e-mail.
Look at what we will be learning next week: 

Math and Science -  We will spend next week reviewing our first grade math and science skills.  Learners will be working on an end of the year choice board to show their learning. 

Language Arts.  We will spend out last full week reviewing reading and writing strategies.    

 Social Studies:   The learners will identify and describe physical characteristics of                                           landforms.

Fun activities to do at home: 

READING  - Enjoy some extra time reading  on Bookflix, Epic, Learning A-Z, Book in a Bag, or check out some books from the TCE library.  Our librarian hands out library books on Wednesdays. 

In the reading course of Schoology, you can find the kindergarten, first grade, and second grade snap word list. 

Social Studies:  Discuss different landforms in our country!!!

Virtual Learner Announcements
  • Dream Box - Please make sure your child is on Dream Box at least 3 times a week for 15 minutes.  :-)
  • Book in a Bag books are due back at TCE on Monday morning.  Please make sure you return the books in the fabric bag that was given to your child in the beginning of the year., 
Face to Face Learner Announcements
  • Please make sure you put your child's fully charged Ipad and charger in their backpack each day.  The Ipad battery should be 100%.
  • Please make sure to send any library books back to school.
  • It's hard to believe that we are coming to the end of the year.  If you have any concerns about your child's academics and you would like to schedule a zoom conference to discuss next steps, please reach out to your teacher.
