Writing:   We will look at a picture and create a story using a topic sentence and transition words to move the story along.

Assignment Help
Parents we are so thankful for your amazing partnership as we navigate virtual learning together.  We are looking forward to learning about your child's academic strengths and areas of growth this week as we dive into content-specific assignments.  In order to do this, it is important.that we have an authentic understanding of your child's abilities through their assignments.  We would love for you to help your child understand assignment directions and answer simple questions your child may have during the day.  We are asking that when they are working on their assignments for you to not intervene if they make a mistake.  Mistakes are how we learn and seeing what your child is able to do independently is an important part of our roles as teachers.  Thank you so much for all you are doing to partner with us this year.  We could not do this without all of YOU!

Virtual Learner Announcements
It's time to change out your "book in a bag" books.  Please come to school on Monday, September 21st from 8:30 - 12:30 to return your child's leveled books and get new ones.  You will need to park and come to the front doors of TCE.  Outside of the front doors you will see your teacher's basket to return your books (please make sure they are in the zip lock bag with your child's name on it) and take your child's bag of new books from the other crate with your teacher's name on it.  All books going home have been quarantined for the 4 day requirement by the district.  Happy reading!

Please remember that all coursework for the day needs to be submitted by 11:59pm.  Due to district policy, late submissions will not be accepted.

MAP TESTING: If your child had trouble accessing the NWEA MAP practice test this week please view this tutorial to walk you through the steps to ensure your child's iPad is ready.

If you are still having trouble getting to the testing login screen, please let your child's teacher know as soon as possible.

Don't forget to send a water bottle and a "nut free" snack to school each day.  Please make sure that the water bottle has a spill proof top on it.
