Calendar

April 19th - Book in a bag pick up (8-12 by the TCE front doors)
April 20th - Mrs. McCullough's birthday
April 29th - Digital Pep Rally for Boostathon - We will explain in our morning meetings
April 30th - Bring a small stuffed animal to school/zoom.
May 3rd - Last Book in a bag pick up (8-12 by the TCE front doors)
May 7th - TCE Boostathon
May 14th - Mrs. Vincenzo's birthday
May 17th - All Virtual Learner Book in a Bags are due back at TCE. Please bring books back in the original cloth bag. Math manipulatives are also due back (place in cloth bag).
May 24th - Field Day - More information will come closer to the date
May 26th - Last Day of School/Early Release
May 26th - Report Cards will be sent home via e-mail.

Look at what we will be learning next week:

Math: We will classify and sort two dimensional shapes by their attributes. Learners will discuss two dimensional attributes that do and do not define a shape.

Science: We will be talking about natural resources and how to conserve them in honor of Earth Day.

Language Arts:

Reading: Next week we will look at characters in a book and how they think and feel.

Writing: We will begin our writing unit on Realistic Fiction.

Phonics: We will learn the digraph /aw/.

Social Studies: We will locate and explore the community, Texas, and the United States on maps and globes

Fun activities to do at home:

Practice counting to 120 by twos with your child.

READING - Enjoy some extra time reading on Bookflix, Epic, Learning A-Z, Book in a Bag, or check out some books from the TCE library. Our librarian hands out library books on Wednesdays.

In the reading course of Schoology, you can find the kindergarten, first grade, and second grade snap word list.

Social Studies: Help your child learn their address. We will be discussing where we are on the map!!!!

Virtual Learner Announcements

Starting next week PE will be moving their zoom time to every Wednesday during your child’s regular specials time. All sections will be zooming together and this schedule will continue through the end of the year.

Dream Box - Please make sure your child is on Dream Box at least 3 times a week for 15 minutes. :-)

Face to Face Learner Announcements

Please ask your child if they have working headphones. Many learners have broken their headphones or the headphones do not fit them correctly. We use these every day so it's good to invest in a good pair of headphones. If your child needs a new pair, please send them to school.

Please make sure you put your child's fully charged Ipad and charger in their backpack each day. The Ipad battery should be 100%.

We have library on Mondays. Please make sure to send your library books back to school on Monday so your child can check out some new books
