Boosterthon - TCE Dance Party Fundraiser
First Grade Families!
We’re almost there! Our TCE Dance Party fundraiser kicks off in one week. We’ve already gotten donations to help our school! As a reminder our goal is to raise $12,000 for classroom grants and materials to support our school. Are we ready to be the top fundraising grade?
Here are 3 things we can do to help support our school through this fundraiser:
- Register on funrun.com tonight. It’s very easy
- SHARE with 5 family/friends using the SHARE tools on funrun.com (Facebook, Text Message or Email) Students will earn rewards just for sharing from funrun.com.
- Give a donation if you are able to; though all students will fully participate regardless of financial participation.
There’s also this very cool video called the Student Star Video that you can create for your student on the funrun.com website. You’ll have to see for yourself, but you upload a photo of your child and they become part of the video. It's a great item to share with your friends and family when seeking their support.
Thanks again for your support!
Fun activities to do at home:
Math - You can find geometric shapes everywhere! Practice observation skills and help your child notice geometric shapes on a family walk or drive. Discuss how many sides and vertices they see?
READING - Enjoy some extra time reading on Bookflix, Epic, Learning A-Z, Book in a Bag, or check out some books from the TCE library. Our librarian hands out library books on Wednesdays.
In the reading course of Schoology, you can find the kindergarten, first grade, and second grade snap word list.
Social Studies: Help your child learn their address. We will be discussing where we are on the map!!!!
- Starting next week PE will be moving their zoom time to every Wednesday during your child’s regular specials time. All sections will be zooming together and this schedule will continue through the end of the year.
- Dream Box - Please make sure your child is on Dream Box at least 3 times a week for 15 minutes. :-)
- Virtual learners -- if you would like to check out books from the TCE library, please click on Mrs. Mancuso's link below to learn how: https://www.loom.com/share/3e99db6ca13c438a8b891ceb1029898
- It's hard to believe that we are coming to the end of the year. If you have any concerns about your child's academics and you would like to schedule a zoom conference to discuss next steps, please reach out to your teacher.
- Please ask your child if they have working headphones. Many learners have broken their headphones or the headphones do not fit them correctly. We use these every day so it's good to invest in a good pair of headphones. If your child needs a new pair, please send them to school.
- Please make sure you put your child's fully charged Ipad and charger in their backpack each day. The Ipad battery should be 100%.
- We have library on Mondays. Please make sure to send your library books back to school on Monday so your child can check out some new books
